Industrial Fluids

We have developed a library of microfluidics-based instrumentation systems to measure thermodynamic fluid properties and transport properties at industrially-relevant temperatures and pressures. Our early work in this area developed microfluidic systems to analyze and improve chemical performance in the oil and gas industry. These services are now commercialized and provided worldwide through Interface Fluidics Ltd.

Our current work in this area is focused on the design and development of industrial working fluids. We are developing fluidic testing systems to screen fluid blends for a range of applications in renewable energy including refrigerants that meet 2030 GHG requirements while achieving high energy efficiency.
