Boyuan (Jaxon) is a fourth-year mechanical undergraduate student for the thermo-Fluids Lab at the University of Toronto. His final year project will be related to integrating electrical current sensor into SDL and developing SAF testing procedures with other group members.

Jiakai joined Sinton Lab as an undergraduate research student in 2025. His undergraduate thesis focuses on development and integration of foam thickness sensor to the current self-driven lab.

Andy Lyu is a fourth-year Materials Science and Engineering student at the University of Toronto where he has consistently earned Dean’s List honors. He completed a 16-month internship at TC Energy, where he co-authored a paper on composite repair of large-diameter pipelines with severe corrosion. Andy has also conducted research on chitosan-based microneedle hydrogel systems for smart drug delivery at the University of Calgary. He is currently a 4th year thesis student in Professor David Sinton’s lab, focusing on electrochemical Direct air Capture and pilot-scale cell optimization.
